What turns a flame into a usable process.

The hot-air generator takes heat from the biomass burner and transfers it — indirectly — into a clean air stream at a precise, stable temperature. The word doing the work is indirectly: combustion products never contact the air that touches your product. For food applications this is not a refinement, it is the requirement.

System architecture

  • Double-chamber design — the main chamber receives the burner flame; the bottom chamber collects ash.
  • Three-pass heat exchange — flue gas traverses the exchanger three times before exhaust, extracting substantially more heat than single-pass and delivering transfer efficiency above 80%.
  • Twin blowers — 2 × 15 HP, dynamically balanced, running at 2,800 rpm.
  • PLC control panel — blower sequencing, temperature regulation and interlocking.
  • Dual-fuel chamber option — accepts the cashew-shell burner flame, with provision for direct biomass firing using material such as dried mango skins.

Dynamic balancing is worth understanding. At 2,800 rpm an unbalanced impeller destroys its own bearings, transmits vibration into ducting and joints, and generates noise. Balanced assemblies are the difference between a blower that runs for years and one that becomes a recurring maintenance line item.

Air distribution & filtration

  • MS ducting — 3 mm mild steel, leak-proof welded joints, fabricated to SMACNA standard, two coats of anti-rust paint.
  • Thermal insulation — 80 mm rockwool at 65 ± 3 kg/m³, chicken-wire mesh and 24G aluminium cladding, fire-rated Class 1 to BS 476 Part 6:1989.
  • Volume-control dampers — 3 mm MS, opposed-blade, on fire-rated bushes, for precise flow balancing to each branch.
  • MERV 8 filtration — 610 × 610 mm panels at the blower inlet, capturing particles from 3.0 to 10.0 microns.
